Blogmas Day One: What Is Blogmas?

dymond phillips • Dec 01, 2020
Omg I'm so excited it's already Blogmas. I feel like 2020 flew by, I still remember writing last years posts. This year has been crazy. Definitely different than I thought it would be. Thru all the craziness, I learned so much and grew as a person. But that’s a post for another day, today is December 1st. That means we are 24 days from Christmas. It’s officially my favorite time of the year. I have a love/hate relationship with the winter, because I hate being cold. Besides the weather, Christmas time is my favorite time of year. I love all the lights, movies, treats and gifts. You know gift giving and receiving is my love language. I know Christmas is not all about gifts, I love the memories that the holiday season brings.

With that being said, it’s a new year and I have so much in store for this years Blogmas. I did a poll and asked if people wanted more videos or blog posts. The majority of the votes was for videos. I decided to set a schedule this year. Tuesday-Thursday will be written blog posts, and Friday-Monday will be videos. That way, you get the best of both worlds. This year, I’ve planned so much ahead a time, I promise to be consistent. Every year, I start off super consistent, but by day 14, I get so busy that I fall behind. NOT THIS YEAR.

If you don't know what Blogmas/Vlogmas is, it's a time where creators (bloggers, youtubers, etc.) upload everyday up until December. This month I'll be sharing my favorite Christmas traditions, Christmas shopping, Christmas food, Christmas travel, and all the festive activities leading up to the big day! Not only will it be all Christmas topics for me, I'll give you my December struggles as well because lets be real, preparing for Christmas isn't always easy.

Also, today starts my Self Discipline December Challenge. To join, all you have to do is make a list of at least three habits you will commit to do every day in December. Most people wait until January to change and make new goals. My challenge to you is do it now. It takes 21 days to form or change a habit. In order to live your best life in 2021, you must create new and break bad habits. The time is now, whatever you don't like change! It's December 1st, which means new opportunities and new breakthroughs. Are you ready for all I have in store for Blogmas? Ready, set, Go! 🎄
