Blogmas Day Ten: Change Of Plans

Whew it's my first off day in a while and I was so excited to sleep in and do nothing, but things didn't go as planned. Last night, on my way home from work I learned that it was time for my oil change. I had to wake up early to call the dealership to schedule an appointment because my next off day isn't until later in the week. Luckily, they said I can come in so I rushed to get dressed and went to the place. I hate leaving the house mid day because the traffic starts around lunchtime.
After getting my oil changed and tires rotated, I had to travel all the way to the other side of town for Dior's food. She's very picky when it comes to her dog food so I like to mix wet and dry food. The dry food I give her is from the brand Performatin and the wet food is the Nutro puppy chicken flavored food. I'm very hesitant with the food I give her so I researched everything and read reviews before purchasing. A lot of vets and experts swear by Performatin,but the only problem is it's only sold in this one pet store or online. I suck at ordering things before my current one runs out, so going to purchase it from the store directly is better for me. Eventually I will wing her off of wet food completely but at that time I want to switch her to organic puppy food. Dior is my baby and like a child, I want whats best for her. When I was in the puppy supermarket, I saw so many goodies I want to get for her to put in her stocking for Christmas. Is it weird that I want to incorporate my dog into my families Christmas activities? I don't think so. I'm probably more excited than her.
I finished my day by going by Chili's and sitting around talking with my coworkers. Many of them were surprised that I brought my dog with me but I wouldn't have it any other way. I like to spend my entire off days with her, since I get so few. Plus, she's quiet in public. Even though, I didn't get to lay around like I wanted to I was able to get a lot of things I needed done. Only downfall I had today was sitting in traffic because of an accident which had us bumper to bumper coming and going. I'm happy to finally be home and in my bed. I'm about to continue reading my book, and relax. Hope you had a productive Monday!
