Day One Of 5th Annual Fast & Detox: Gratitude

How can you want more when you're not thankful for all you have?

Can you believe we are halfway through the first day of the fast and detox. I want to thank you for joining me. This week won't be easy, but it will get easier. How are you feeling in this moment? Today I wanted to come check with you and make sure you actually are taking this seriously. First thing is make sure you are not short changing God. Write down the things that you decided to give up and actually analyze them if it's not things you do multiple times a day, try to switch it for something else. Also with this being the first day I want to make sure you are not just giving up things. The point is to use the time you usually spend doing those things to pray and glorify God, and meditate. Sit in silence and hear your own voice.

Today, I want you to focus on where you are now. You can’t level up, until you identify where you currently are. So many people are falling to the wayside because they don’t truly know themselves. What are some things that you like and dislike? What are some triggers, that cue you to act a certain way? Figure out what things make you happy. Everything is so silence now, it’s time to focus on you. Take a step outside yourself, and analyze exactly where you are now. In life, we hear so many negative things about themselves, but they aren’t true. It doesn’t matter what other people think and say about you, it’s all about what you think and say see yourself. Write out a list of five affirmations that are true for yourself. 

On top of that, it’s time to change the perspective. I understand you might not be where you want to be, but you are further than you’ve come. I understand that I’m not the woman I’m supposed to be yet, but I’m so thankful I’m not where I used to be. It’s time to get back to a place of gratitude. When I flip the perspective, life seems so much more pleasant. Understand that the cup is half full, not half empty. Today, I want you to write a list of 10 things right now that you are grateful for. You can’t keep asking God for more, when you aren’t even thankful for what you have. I want a two door coupe, but I’m happy and thankful for the cruze that I have. It’s not enough so just say you’re thankful, do you take care of the things that God has already blessed you with? Do you want another house but your current house is a mess? Do you want more finances, but your current finances are in shambles? Can God trust you with more, if you can’t even handle all you have now? I like to start my morning with gratitude, because it starts me off right. It’s time for us to identify where we are, and get back to a place of thankfulness. 

Blessings and favor come from gratitude. Watch how your day changes when you start with thankfulness. Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation of all abundance. No matter how crazy life is, there is always something to be thankful for. Sit and meditate on the list that you created. It all starts with your mind. You can complain about what you lack or you can be thankful for what you do have. Day one down, 6 more to go!
