I Hope You're Ready For This Journey!

I want to thank you for joining me. This week won't be easy, but it will get easier. How are you feeling in this moment? Today, I wanted to come check with you and make sure you actually are taking this seriously. First thing is make sure you are not short changing God. Write down the things that you decided to give up and actually analyze them, if it's not things you do multiple times a day, try to switch it for something else. Also with this being the first day, I want to make sure you are not just giving up things. The point is to use the time you usually spend doing those things to pray and glorify God, and meditate. Sit in silence and hear your own voice. Today was a lot, I felt all over the place and spent most of the day, besides work, in my car. Nothing went as planned, and I was just over it. I turned on some praise music and focused on thanking God, by 3pm, I was out of my rut.

Today, I want you to go back to that list of things you wrote down to give up. During this time, how do you plan on replacing those things. For instance, I gave up TV as one of my five things. Instead of watching TV, I plan to use my in between time to pray and read. Instead of listening to secular music, I plan to listen to gospel music to worship and listen to podcasts on self development. Go through the list of things that you decided to give up, and really decide how you want to use that time. Once you do that, I want you to look back at the goals you set at the beginning of the year. If you didn’t set goals earlier, it’s not too late. Write a list of goals that you want to accomplish before the year ends. These goals can be personal, fitness, business, spiritually, etc. Once you re-write these goals, I want you to think about something that is hindering you, from accomplishing them. For example, I have a goal to create more content consistently. I struggled with this the entire year, because I lack clarity on what content to create. During this fast and detox, I want to gain clarity for my business, relationships, and overall life. Another thing I’m fasting for, is re ignition. When I say that, I mean I’m asking God to re-ignite the passion I once had for business. Re-ignite the passion I once had to be in the gym. Re-ignite my creativity. I also want to gain increase from this fast. I want financial increase, business increase, and spiritual connection increase. Ultimately, I want to become more aligned during this time. The goal is to be completely aligned with God, so that I’m living the life has planned for me, not the life I want to live.

Take some time today to sit and think about some things you need during this fast. You may need healing, or a shift. You may need peace, or strength. Whatever you need during this season, to make the rest of the year the best part, pray and ask God for during these four days. By silencing everything around us, it’s easier to hear from him. While you’re coming up with this list of things that you want, take a look at how far you’ve come. Blessings and favor come from gratitude. You may not be where you want to be. You may not have completed all the goals that you've set. BUT, what good have you done this year? Pat yourself on the back for that. Look how far you've came. If there’s still air in your lungs, God has blessed you with a new day to make it happen. Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life, is the foundation of all abundance. No matter how crazy life is, there is always something to be thankful for. It all starts with your mind. You can complain about what you lack or you can be thankful for what you do have.

Don’t worry if you’re not religious, it’s ok. I still want you to replace the things that you gave up with something else. For example, I’m not eating any fast food during this time. I’m replacing fast food with healthier meals, because I ultimately want a cleaner diet. Maybe you gave up social media, how do you plan to use the time you normally scroll? A good thing would be to journal, read, or write a business plan you’ve been putting off. Use this time wisely. I also want you to look back at your goals you set for the year. If you didn’t create a list of goals, go ahead and come up with some. Figure out what’s holding you back from completing these goals. Maybe you lake discipline, but get to the root of why. Maybe you lack direction, get clear on exactly what you want. Maybe you don’t truly want these things, and you just see them on social media. Figure out what it is that you want, and come up with a action plan to get there. Keep it up!
