Day Six Of End of Summer Fast and Detox

Dymond Phillips • Sep 01, 2019

Wow we are in the final stretch. Can't believe today is day six. Tomorrow at noon, the fast and detox will be over and I hope you can say you've truly put in the work necessary to cleanse before the fall. I also hope that during this fast and detox, you've learned things about yourself. I pray you've connected with God, and he brings you clarity during this time. I pray this fast strengthens your relationship with God. It's something about being still and alone that does something to my inner voice. When you have so much noise going on around you, it's hard to focus. I hope this time helped you get clear about your goals for this new season.

There are four habits that you need to implement in order to receive this breakthrough and clarity in the new season. First habit was don't worry about anything. Second habit was pray about everything. Third habit was thank God for everything, in every situation. The fourth and final thing you need to do in order to receive this breakthrough is to, STAY FOCUS ON TRUE THINGS. Whatever breakthrough you need whether it is a financial breakthrough, relationship breakthrough, school breakthrough or even just a breakthrough with God, can come after you really get clear on these four steps. This is a mental change. You hear things everyday that hold you back that aren't true. The lies that hold you back that say you're not good enough, you'll never make it, you're ugly, etc. Don't feed your mind with that. Fill your mind with TRUE THINGS. Fill your mind with thoughts that are excellent and worthy of praise. What's true things? Not what you see on tv. Not what you hear on the radio. It's what is in the bible. It's the love of God. It's positive thoughts. Jesus said when you know the truth it'll set you free. To be set free means a breakthrough. You have to start reading your bibles!!! That's the only way to get his truth. Job 11:13-19 says

"If you prepare your heart, you will stretch out your hands toward him.14 If iniquity is in your hand, put it far away, and let not injustice dwell in your tents.15 Surely then you will lift up your face without blemish; you will be secure and will not fear.16 You will forget your misery; you will remember it as waters that have passed away.17 And your life will be brighter than the noonday; its darkness will be like the morning.18 And you will feel secure, because there is hope; you will look around and take your rest in security.19 You will lie down, and none will make you afraid; many will court your favor."

That's the reason why we fast and pray. That is the promise from God. Stretch out your hands in prayer, give up all secret sins, and you will be confident and fearless. I don't know about you, but I want to be fearless in this next season. In order to be fearless, you must get clear on God's promises. That scripture also says, your troubles will go away. You'll feel safe and secure and you'll sleep without fear. That's some good stuff. I have a tendency to worry and get anxious when it comes to the future. I now know, if I focus on God and give him all of me, he will order my steps. I don't want to be in the passenger seat anymore of my life, I gave God complete control, to do with my life as he will. When you rely solely on the promises of God, no matter what the circumstances are, you know, God will make a way. Here's my task for you, go thru the Bible and pick out three promises made from God. Write these promises in your notes and look over them at least once a week. By doing that, you will focus on pure things, rather than whatever problems come your way. My three promises are.....

1. "Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! there is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.”
2.“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you.”
3. "And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."

For those of you who are detoxing too, I have a activity for you. So many times we go thru the motions. We have so many day one friends who may be the ones holding us back. Successful people have learned the art of editing their circle. Understand that sometimes the reason your blessings aren't coming is because of the company you keep. I should be able to look at your circle and it be a direct reflection of you. The people you associate with, should push and motivate you, as you should to them. Sometimes, time means nothing with a friendship. Any relationship, business, intimate or friendship, should be mutual exchange; Both parties should be getting something. Today I want you to look at your friendships, and call lists. Let's detox those contacts, social media friends, real life friends, and anybody in your bubble. If you aren't getting anything out of the friendship, cut it off. I detox my social media regularly. I block and delete any negativity or anything that doesn't motivate me. I recently unfollowed the Shaderoom, and I love it. I wanted a drama free life and that starts with what I digest. Remember, you are in control of the people you let in your bubble. Learn to protect your peace. Watch how positive your world becomes after you block negativity.

Less than 24hrs left. Let's finish strong. We got this!
