Day Three: End Of Summer Fast And Detox

Faith and fear can not coexist.

We are already three days into the fast and detox. By now, I hope your cravings have gone away. Day three was a pretty easy day. I drank more water throughout the day, and it helped carve my appetite. I was super busy catching up on work, so I didn't crave Starbucks like normal. As I was praying and meditating, I had a thought cross my mind. Many times, I talk myself out of blessings. I already knew that my tongue had power, but I forget just how much power that is. the Bible says that the power of life and death is in the tongue. The words you speak and thoughts you think shape your world.

You can't believe this is true for positive things and not true for negative things. What we declare, no matter good or bad, is what can come to pass. There's so many scriptures on the power of the tongue. You have to learn how to hold your tongue because, you may be the person holding yourself back. Faith and fear can not coexist. Are you constantly down playing yourself and accomplishments? Stop that. Be kind to yourself.

Today, I want you to write down ten affirmations. According to Mindtools, "Affirmations are positive statements that can help you to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts.'' HABAKKUK 2:2 says, "And the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain upon tablets, that he may run that readeth it." When you write something down, you affirm it. Not only do I want you to write it down, I want you to speak them out loud throughout the day. Make sure you write your positive affirmations in present tense and first person. Write them as if they have already been achieved. By doing it this way, you are training yourself to believe in them, by making them real and achievable. This is a great activity help you be more positive and overall happier. You need to let go of any and all negative thoughts and images and bombard your subconscious mind with new thoughts and images that are positive.

Every morning, I write at least one affirmation for myself and the day. It doesn't mean things will be perfect that day. Repeating affirmations helps to reprogram the unconscious mind for success. "It helps eliminate negative and limiting beliefs and transforms your comfort zone from a limited one keeping you trapped in mediocrity to a more expanded one where anything is possible. It helps to replace your  cant’s with cans, and your fears and doubts with confidence and certainty.'' This small thing is key for shaping your day.

If you're religious, pray over your affirmations. If you don't know what to affirm, ask God to reveal them to you. Keep your affirmations somewhere you can visibly see throughout the day. When life gets hectic, I look at my affirmation and speak them out loud. Time is flying, four days left. Be disciplined.
