Dresses For Transitional Weather

National Dress Day was 3/6

Hey girl hey, I'm super excited that we're finally in my favorite season. I absolutely love spring. My birthmonth is April, plus I love the weather in the spring time. It's not quite as hot as summer but it's warmer than winter. I'm also obsessed with all the pinks, yellows, and purples. Depending on where you're located, the weather may not match up with the season. You guys know, I'm a jumpsuit girl for sure. But every now and then, I'll wear a cute dress. It's super hard to wear dresses during this transitional period. During this time, the weather is warmer in the day and freezing by 6pm. It's super nice here today, but temperatures are supposed to drop drastically tomorrow. Some days are 60s and 70s while other are still 42 degrees. These two styles of dresses are my absolute favorite for this bipolar weather time.
First up, this is a bodycon ribbed material midi dress. It's not a full turtleneck, it's actually a mock neck. This dress is so stretchy and comfortable. It also has a slit on each side of it, that makes me it better. The color is a burnt orange, which for me is more for fall, but can easily be worn in the spring. I'd pair this with a cute bootie or pump. It can easily be worn in spring by throwing on a cute low top sneaker or wrap up sandal. Mine was only $8 from Target's clearance section. It's such a simple piece that can be dressed up or down. You could also add a cute jacket to spice it up for chilly nights. Bodycon dresses are my go to because they hug every curve.
Bodycon dresses are perfect transitional pieces. This is my Saturday errands run, go to outfit. Add a chunky necklace and it can easily be a night out with the girls dress. You can even add a cute belt and matching boot to wear for a date. This is a basic piece everybody needs to have in their closet. I typically hate the ribbed material, but I actually love this dress.
Next up is another one of my favorite dresses. Yes I know, it's another "fall" color, but it's the perfect style for this transitional period. This is a basic v-neck midi dress. Its a thin sweater material. Perfect for a nice 60 degree day, with some boots. This dress could even be worn on a colder day, long as you wear a nice double breasted coat. This for me is perfect for date night, or even work. If it's warmer where you are, wear a cute nude pump and ACCESSORIZE. A cute chunky necklace would be a great way to dress it up.
This dress is from Fashion Nova. They always have deals going on, it's currently 30% off with coupon code Deal80.(tap here to view) I love the belt in the middle because it hides the tummy. This dress also has a slit on the side, but this one is a tad higher. It also comes in a mustard yellow color. I would wear this with some ankle boots either brown or orange. You could also wear it with a animal print boot, if you're looking to add some flavor to it. Depending where you're wearing it to, you could even add a nice fedora hat and poncho.
Shopping for this in between season can be super hard, especially if the weather where you are is bipolar like it is here. These two basic dress styles are perfect because you can add small accessories that make a huge difference. As the weather heats up you can continue to wear these, just be changing a shoe and removing a jacket. I'm definitely ordering more pieces like these in ever color. You can never have too many bodycon dresses whether they're v or mock neck styles. I'll definitely be sharing more of my go to spring pieces in the future.
