Beauty on a budget

Hey girl hey, Happy Friday. If you know me, you know, I love makeup. I love being all glammed and done up, but it can be pricey. The key to having flawless makeup, is using quality products. Quality beauty products can range from $5 to even $80. I’m so happy drugstore beauty brands are expanding there products for every shade. When I first started doing my everyday face, I was only using drugstore products. Back then, the products were trash. Last weekend in Atlanta, I forgot some of my makeup and I had to run to Target to finish my face. I loved the finish product and it got me thinking, why not do a full face of a drugstore make up. When I got back to Detroit, I ran to Target. I headed back to my roots.

Let's start with the brows. If you didn't know, I got my eyebrows ombred a few weeks ago. Eyebrow ombre is very similar to microblading, but less harsh. With that being said, I lightly filled in my brows with the Milani Stay Put Brow Color, in the color dark brown. After lightly applying that, I concealed with them with, Elf  Hydrating Camo Concealer, in the shade deep chestnut. Also, I used this concealer for my entire eyelid as "eyeshadow.'' I don't typically use shadows for my natural everyday face.  After I concealed, I went back with the NYX Professional Makeup Microbrow Pencil, just to finalize my brows.

Next up, priming your face. Primer is the base of the makeup. It creates another layer between your makeup, and your face. On top of that, primer helps your makeup last longer and look smoother. I have combination to oily skin, so the primer I use is very important. For this face, I used NYX Professional Makeup Pore Filler. Before I apply foundation, I like to spray my setting spray. Ever since I watched Jackie Aina's video, I tried it and instantly loved it. I like the way it melts my face. I used the, Elf Makeup Mist & Set.

Once that setting spray is done drying, I color correct. The bottom half of my face, around my mouth, is typically darker. I used the, L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer, in the Orange color. Then, it's foundation time. It's so hard to find a drugstore foundation to fit my complexion. Typically, they're way too red for my skin tone. I found one that was pretty good to work with. I used the, Maybelline Superstay Full Coverage Foundation, in the color Warm Coconut.

Next up, one of my favorite parts, highlight and contour. First for highlight, I used the same Elf Hydrating Camo Concealer, in the shade Deep Chestnut. I let my concealer dry down a little before using my wet beauty blender, to blend it out. Once I finished that, I applied the Nyx Can't Stop Won't Stop Concealer, in the color Caramel. I tried something different for my contour. I used the Elf Hydrating Camo Concealer, in the color Rich Ebony.

We're almost done with this natural face. Next. I set my concealer with, L.A. Girl Pro HD Setting Powder, in the color Banana. While my concealer is baking, I set the rest of my face with, Black Radiance True Complexion Loose Setting Powder, in the color Honeymoon. While everything was setting, I used the Nyx Professional Makeup Vinyl Liquid Liner Eyeliner, for a small eye wing.

After I brushed all the powder away, I sprayed the, Wet n Wild Photofocus Natural Finish Setting Spray. For the illuminator aka "highlight," I used, Black Radiance Color Perfect Highlighting Powder, in the color Glided Glow.

Lastly, for my lips. I used the Nyx Plumping Suede Matte Lip Liner, in the color Expresso. I put that all over my lips, and then added, Nyx Butter Lip Gloss, in the color Fortune Cookie. I only put the gloss in the middle of my lips and blotted it until I got the look I wanted.

I loved how this affordable everyday face came out. You can definitely get glam on a budget. I hope this beauty hack helped you!
