Only Six Months Left In 2021

Happy Wednesday, today is the last day in June. It's crazy that we're already halfway through the year. July starts tomorrow and so is the third quarter. As the weather heats up and all the fun begins, don't forget to continue to push towards your goals you set in place for the new year. It's funny to me that the momentum people have in January is typically gone by March. Before you know it, it'll be January 2022, and your same goals will have carried over another year. It’s sad that, but sometimes, we lack the discipline to stay focused. Everyone at some point of their life losses focus, but you can't stay off track for too long. When learning to ride a bike, you have to fall down a couple times to learn. As a kid, after we fell down we got back on the bike. Why as adults do we not do the same. Failure is evident. It will happen, but if you're not failing you're not trying hard enough. Playing it safe never made something great happen. If failure is your excuse, push through. Understand that things will never be perfect. Stop waiting on the right time, because the time will never be right. It's so many excuses that can prevent you from going after everything you say you want.

I'm not only talking to you, I fall off track all the time. I have to refocus myself many times throughout the year. You can't always get yourself back on tack, you need to have people around you, who can hold you accountable. These people are your Purpose Partners. You need to have some people who can pull your coat tail to get back on track. Your accountability partners can't be scared of you or your antics. This person or people must care enough about you to tell you the truth and push you, even when you don't want to push. I personally, have multiple purpose partners. For example my mommy is my accountability partner. A couple times a week we both share different goals we have or things we have to do, and we have mid day check ins throughout the week, just to see how they're going. My mom isn't afraid to continuously push me, even when I get annoyed. I might not always like it, but I truly appreciate it. Also, I have fitness accountability partners. I don't like having friends who just kick it with me, but don't keep me on track. Read a book, go to the gym, create some proactive habits to help you accomplish your goals.

With all this being said, today is a good day to go back and assess where you are. Look at the goals you set in place at the beginning of the year and see what you've done. Come up with a six month plan to help get you back on track. Set daily, weekly and monthly goals. It’s the third quarter and time to get back in the game. Lastly, get you some accountability purpose partners who push you to be great. Stop hanging with friends who you can only party with. 2022 is six months away. I don't know about you, but I don't want to walk into a new year, or even this new quarter, with mediocre habits. We still have time to nip them in the butt. Don't let your 2021 goals become your 2022 goals. What new habits can you implement going into the new quarter? What areas did you lack last quarter? It's time to reflect and switch gears.
