Nobody Cares, Work Harder

Dymond • Nov 19, 2019

Seriously.

Fresh month, fresh week, fresh start. We are 41 days from the new decade. It's so exciting to know that 2020 is upon us. With that being said there's some things we all need to get straight. At the beginning of the year I wrote down a list of goals I wanted to accomplish this year, I hope you did too. Guess what? It's time to revisit that list. Time to check off things you've completed. I like to do an end of the year check to see how I'm doing mentally and business wise. It's a good thing to revisit the list, because we still have a full month and a half to make it happen. Be honest with yourself. It's ok to not have started things or even to not want some of the things on the list anymore. Things change.

I'm currently in the season of keeping my head down, and doing the work. I have major goals that I refuse not to complete before the year ends. One of those being, completing school. I'm currently taking three classes that all end next Tuesday. With that, I have finals and assignments back to back. On top of that, I have an international trip quickly approaching and I have so much to get together before I leave. Plus, I have two campaigns I'm working on for the blog. AND I have to plan and start to execute content for blogmas since I'll be out the country for the first week in December. I have all this to do, while still running my blog and living my day to day life. Oh and I'm moving very soon as well.

Having a goal written down, with a DEADLINE, is best way to achieve it. I used to keep my everything in my head, and would always forget things or completely miss the mark on everything. Writing down a goal helps you stay focused on it. According to Management 30, "When you're focused on what you're doing, you're directing your energy toward your goals and you achieve better results. It's easier to set other things aside when you know what you should focus on. Written goals help you have a clear focus and stay on track." I like to write down my goals, somewhere I'm able to see daily. I had to train my body to at least glance at the list everyday, so that I can stay focused. When you add a date to a goal, it sparks a fire under your butt. When I add dates, I like to implement plans to really accomplish these goals. Also understand, sometimes you'll miss the mark and some dates will change; THAT IS FINE. A goal WRITTEN down with a DATE and PLAN is key to making it happen.

With everything I have going on right now, it's impossible to do it alone. I have multiple purpose partners who I tell my current goals to. They even tell me the things they're working on too. When you do this, you can hold each other accountable. Everybody loses focus at times. Having someone who can call out your bs, no matter what, is essential. My mom, for example, will call me 20 times to see if I did something I was supposed to do. She doesn't care if I ignore her or get an attitude, she will stay on me to get things done. In the moment, it can seem annoying, but I appreciate her for doing it. I learned, I only get annoyed with her doing it, when I'm not really handling my business. I hate having yes men around me, I need people who help me stay on track.

My grind mode has been activated and I'm coming after everything I deserve in these last six weeks of 2019. It's time to get back focus and go a little hard. I love pushing myself to work harder than I ever have. I have faith in you to accomplish some amazing things before 2020. On another note, I'm excited for blogmas, I get to write and record videos everyday for 25 days. I will be collaborating with people and doing some fun activities. I did some polls on Instagram to see exactly what you wanted to see for Christmas content. If you have anything you want to see, shoot me an email or direct message (https://www.instagram.com/dymond_lashay/)

Get back focused! Until next week......
