Traveling During Pandemic

Before you jump down my throat, keep reading.  On March 20th, my aunt, mom, little cousins, and I, packed up a rental and drove from Detroit to Virginia. I was scheduled to be in Houston that weekend, but with everything going on, I realized flying might not be the safest thing to do. I hadn't seen my grandma in a very long time, so when my mom presented the idea to me, I was thrilled. During this time, Michigan was shut down, but Virginia was still open. We called my aunt, and got her on board.

I come from a faith based grandmother, so she wasn't worried at all. Family is everything, during rough times we tend to run to places of comfort. That for us, is my grandmother. Being in her new house, watching movies, making dinner, and just talking was one of the best things we could've done. The trip brought us so much peace and clarity, which set us up right for this quarantine. If you're blessed with the opportunity to be with your loved ones during this time, cherish every moment. Here's a vlog of how our trip to Virginia went. My grandmother was so excited to have all of us there. I can't wait to go back!
