Walking Into The New Season

Thank You For Joining The 7th Annual End Of Summer Fast & Detox

We are officially one week, post fast, and I am in awe. Coming out of this fast has awaken something in me that I didn’t know I needed. I just want to say thank you to everyone who participated. I was very intentional this year, when it came to the fast and detox. I wanted to make sure that everyone who participated was able to get something out of it. I prayed hard for each, and every one of you; the things you told me you needed from this fast, and even the things you didn’t. I pray that this next season is full of transformation. I pray that you’re going into this next season, with a clear mind and ready to handle whatever comes your way. I don’t mean that as far as only physical season. I mean this new era and season you’re entering to for your life. It is officially October, which means it’s the last quarter of the year.

During the silent time of fasting and detoxing, we took some time to identify our why, began the process of renovating our minds, remembered the sovereignty of God, brought back our expectations and made room for the things we’re asking for. It’s time to put them together and apply what you’ve learned. James 1:22-25 says, 22Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.” Don’t take this new clarity and breakthrough back into your old routine and habits. This is not just the high you want to feel now, but something you want to feel for the rest of your life. In order not to go backwards, you must stay aligned with God. I understand that life gets busy and things happen, but you have to prioritize quiet times with him. I like to fast at least two times a year, because the world is so noisy. Even when I can’t fast completely, I like to tune out everything and focus on him, even if it’s only for 30 minutes out of the day. It’s time to hold your head up, and walk into this new season knowing that he’s about to blow your mind. God has done some amazing things for you, he’s opened so many doors, he’s removed the people holding you back, he’s orchestrated this next chapter just for you. So hold your head up and know that he has made a way. He is with you, and has equipped you with the things you need to make this next season great. I can say it all day, but you have to believe it and walk in it. It’s time for us to have faith like Noah, Sarah, and Abraham. Steven Furtick has this song that I listen to every morning where he says, “My focus is fixed and my heart is expecting, I’m set. I’m not nervous about what’s next. My eyes are on the thrown. I trust the one who’s in complete control. The one that knows how he’s going to work it according to his purpose. Even the worse situations are sure to turn in my favor if I keep moving forward, keep moving towards him.” Click here to listen.

For those of you who are not religious, I really wanted to have something for you as well. I understand that everyone is not religious, and I wanted to share the importance of detoxing. Cleansing your life is not only a spiritual practice, but one that everyone needs to do. Living in clutter causes clutter in your mind. During this time, we got clear on the person we wanted to become, wrote ten affirmations, explored the power of the mind, became more grateful, and decluttered our physical and digital spaces. This next era of your life, is set to win. As long as you remember, all that we did in those six days. The beauty is you can use the skills and the activities if you ever need to reset. Life will life, and you’ll fall off your routine and regimens. The key is to not stay fallen off. You can reset and readjust as many times as you need to, but you must keep moving forward. The journey to the person you want to become and healing is a long road, but one that you must be consistent on.

The purpose of this fast and detox was to shake off all that happened during the summer and the beginning part of the year. We go through so many changes, and in order to get to the next level, you can’t go with the same mindset and habits. It was a time to sit at the feet of our Creator. A time for praying and meditating on his word. When you seek him first everything else will fall into place. Remember this time, and keep the scriptures that you wrote down, and continue building that as a habit. Just because you fasted, doesn’t mean that in this next season, you won’t have problems, that’s not how it works. I really hope this fast strengthened your foundation in him, so that when the rough times come, you can have peace in the storm. It is less than 100 days left in 2023. It’s time to live a life in abundance. God did not put you here to live a base level life. Stop playing it safe. Get off auto pilot, and start living your life to the fullest. This next season of your life is only going to be different, if you take this step. If you want different, you have to do different. If you want better, you have to be better. It all starts with you. I appreciate those who reached out and shared their kind words about how this fast helped, it really warmed my heart. Do not get to next year and regret being in the same place. The year is not over. We have three months left to turn it around. It’s less than 100 days left in 2023, that means it’s only twelve Mondays left. Make this year account. Next year you can be in the same place, or you can be happy that you started now. Time is going to keep going, whether you’re ready or not. It’s time to move in faith, and go for the go! We serve a powerful, big, incredible God, stop being comfortable with a mediocre life.

Until next year.
