A Magical Destination Wedding Weekend

If you follow me on any of my social media channels, you would know that I went to the Dominican Republic, last week. It was a family trip, for my cousins wedding. We were in Punta Cana for four days. This was my second time going to the DR. This time was very special. I'm so glad I went on the trip, because honestly I was contemplating not to. From flight delays, to canceled rooms, the process of getting over there was unreal. It seemed like everything that could go wrong, did, but through it all, I would do it over again.

We stayed at Dreams Macao Beach, which was HUGE and of course beautiful. My cousin had a huge turn out for her destination wedding, with over 80 friends and family. The weekend was magical. Which kicked off with an all white welcome party, which even had talented fire dancers. We all even went on boat party which included snorkeling and a natural pool. The wedding was everything, the ceremony and reception left everyone speechless. 

Dreams Macao Beach is a five star resort with over five restaurants, four pools, two water parks, zip-lining, a club, a bowling alley, and so much more. It's perfect for a family vacation or even a solo get away. The Dominican Republic no longer requires a negative Covid test to visit, but you do have to fill out a travel authorization before you go and upon return. If you are traveling to the DR, DO NOT I repeat, DO NOT drink the tap water. That includes for brushing your teeth. I didn't listen to that advice and came back with travelers diarrhea which is not fun at all. Overall, the trip was amazing and I would definitely go back to visit, this was my second time in the Dominican Republic.
