Slay of the week

Who says you can't be successful if you go to a HBCU? This weeks slay of the week is this sweetheart who I'm so happy to have meet my freshmen year at Clark. This beauty's entire life is a slay, whether she's going to class, work or even walking down the hall of the CAU suites. She is a business major, and even has a internship in her field of study. Who is this brown-skin cutie? Allow me to introduce you to this weeks slay, Amber-Angela Williams. Like I said earlier, we met freshmen year, we both lived in the suites and have mutual friends. The first thing I fell in love with was the fact that he hair was laid to the Gods. Her sew-in was literally blended to perfection. After that every time I would see her, her outfits would be on point. Back to the point, Amber is a rising junior at the illustrious Clark Atlanta University, with a 3.6 GPA. She was born in Dallas, Texas but relocated to Sunny California. She graduated from high school with honors and was offered a scholarship for CAU. When I tell y'all this girl is always on the move I mean she is ALWAYS ON THE GO!
Amber is super involved at CAU. That involvement includes being the lead PR student ambassador for the office of financial literacy where she is certified to counsel students on Money Management, Credit and Debt Management, Budgeting, and many other helpful resources. When asked as an ambassador what exactly do you do. Amber answered, "It is my pleasure and duty to assist students on becoming financially literate and also creating a knowledgeable foundation on how to build great business acumen whether it involves networking, professional development, or even entrepreneurial development." Amber said that picking Clark Atlanta University was the best decision of her life. Why? "CAU has helped me mature and shaped me into a woman that I'm becoming today." Amber-Angela's mission and objective in attending an HBCU was to defy the odds and show the world that students from HBCU's can excel just as much as if they attended a PWI. Clearly she's breaking thru and pushing for that mission!. Everyone has a professor that says something to them that either sticks or changes their life. When I asked Amber which professor that was for her, she answered by saying, "Dr. Dennis Kimbro once told me that I was a game changer and from that statement on, I live by that motto." Remember I said she currently has a summer internship in her field of study. Well, she is currently a intern at The Boeing Company in Chicago, Illinois. Her current job title is a Corporate HR Business Partner where she is learning all aspects of the company. Also, she using her skill set to complete many assigned projects that will allow her to innovate ideas and a global talent strategies.
So y'all know I had to ask Amber, what are your plans when you graduate being that it's only two years away. Amber-Angela’s goal is to work towards overcoming the stereotypes and becoming a Young Executive in Corporate America for a fortune 500 company. "I even want be a franchise owner of Chik-fil-A," says Amber. Is there anything this firm Christian believer can't do? Amber-Angela loves to encourage her peers that with God and faith, the sky is the limit and anything is possible. She is all for women empowerment, supporting millennials, and uplifting those around her spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Now let's get to the real reason my y'all are reading this post! Let's talk about this killer outfit. In the pictures above, Amber is wearing the perfect outfit for a day full of classes, or even a fall outing with your friends. It's super cute and I love all the neutral colors, this is legit the perfect fall look. Y'all know school is right around the corner go get your fall clothes in order. Anyways, Amber-Angela is wearing a beige turtle neck, a high waisted toffee skirt and some thigh high burgundy boots. She paired her accessories right on point with this look, she has on a gold pendant cross chain, with a gold MK watch, and a nude color bag. We love this look so much here on Dymond's Diary. She never misses a day to slay, as you can see below even in the airport she looks so cute. Keep killing them boo, we love seeing you climb that ladder to success!
