Blogmas Day 15 and 16

Happy Saturday! I'm trying to stay positive even though I'm super upset. Remember that free cruise I told you about that I was supposed to be going on yesterday? Well.....unfortunately I didn't get to go. HOW DO I MISS A FREE CRUISE?!?!!!!! Don't judge me! Well, my cousin told me to meet her in Alabama so we can drive to Miami together. The plan was to drive to Alabama Thursday after I got off work at 10pm. After work, I still had to finish packing because I bought some stuff from work to take with me. After that I texted my cousin to see what her address was to get on the road she took a little while to respond so I laid down. When she responded I got up and got on the road.
I was rushing and didn't check to see if I had my wallet. Halfway to Alabama, something told me to check my purse to see if I had it. When I realized I didn't I quickly turned around to get it. Once I made it home and was leaving back out, my cousin called me to see where I was. I told her leaving home and she asked why I went back. She was pissed and I get why, I was already late and that was a stupid mistake. Point of the story is she left me because she had to go. Miami is 10 hours from Alabama and we had to be at the ship by 1:30pm. At first I was super upset even though the only person I could be mad at was myself!! How could I be so stupid to not double hell triple check to see if I had everything. It's so many things I could have done differently. I honestly could have flew to Miami to meet her. The people from the cruise called me the next day and asked where I was. According to them I had until 3:30pm to be at the dock. If I would have did my own research and learned that I would have still went.
I was still upset about it on Saturday and decided why not just continue with my life, everything happens for a reason! Maybe God didn't want me on that road driving. After talking to my mom I felt a little better, she always makes things better. So I decided why not go try this restaurant I keep hearing about called, Thumbs Up. I went, but I quickly had a attitude because I learned that they only accepted cash and don't even have an ATM. I had to leave and go to Chase bank that was down the street. After the bank, I headed back to the diner. I ordered the omelette with cheese and turkey AND the pancake with toast. By the way, I'm a very picky eater. So after I received my food I was a tad disappointed, I asked my waitress for some grape jelly, and she told me they only had strawberry. I HATE STRAWBERRY JELLY! But hey what could I do. My omelette wasn't the best. For some reason it tasted funny I asked for American cheese but it still had a strange taste to it. So I moved on to the pancake, it was actually really good and fluffy. It wasn't as good as Keke's Cafe breakfast, but it was still good. I ended up sending the omelette back because I couldn't get with the taste.
I'll probably go back another time to try something else. Maybe it was just a bad day or maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. They had a very large selection of foods to pick from, so I'm sure I'll find something I like. After breakfast I went to Starbucks to work on some editing and posts. On Friday when I realized I won't be going on my trip I immediately called my job in the morning to see if I could pick up some shifts. I love how they were able to just get me back in. I was able to pick up four shifts for the week. While I was leaving breakfast I went to the gas station and saw a hawk eating a pigeon. It was disgusting, but got me thinking. In life will you be the hawk and go after what you want or will you be the pigeon who just sits around to be eaten. It reminds me of this post I saw on Instagram that said, "If you don't build your dream someone else will hire you to help them build theirs." That is so true because you have to work towards your dream. It's one thing to have an idea but you have to learn to move towards the idea! The dream is free but the hustle is what's going to cost you. Well that's all for Blogmas Day Fifteen. Follow your dreams and go after what you want! Until tomorrow.....💕
