Blogmas Day 6: Early Flights, Long Days

Dymond phillips • Dec 06, 2018
Good morning, today is Blogmas Day Six and it's 6am. Today I have a flight back to Atlanta at 8:29am. I just woke up and I'm about to get dressed and ready to head to the airport. I only was in Orlando for about 32 hours and I'm so mad I can't stay. If I didn't have to work I would've stayed until Saturday. Being here helped me open my eyes to what's really important which is family. On top of that, it motivated me because I want to be able to fly my family out to different places and explore the world. No matter what state I move to I will always make time to see and spend time with family. Being around my little cousins is a breathe of fresh air and allows me to just let my hair down and play.

While I was here I wrote and reflected a lot on me and my life. A lot of times we tend to say we want all these things but don't really put fourth the work and energy for them to happen. Are we truly ready for what we are praying and dreaming for? When I was a little girl my mom used to always say, "If you can't handle the things I'm giving you or if you're not ready speak up, open your mouth." That doesn't apply completely when being an adult. Sometimes things happen in our life when we think we aren't ready but you have to get ready. Another blogger, Mattie James said, "If God's timing is faster than yours, PICK UP YOUR PACE!" In order to get the blessings that we want, we must become the people deserving of them. I'm currently reading a new self-help book and it's opening up my mind like no other. I know the title is a little explicit but look past it, the information inside is worth it.

I know this post seems a little all over the place but I'm so focused on becoming a better me, that I think about habits and flaws that are hindering me everyday. Today I have to work all day when I get back so it won't be much going on in this post. I know after work I'm going to be super tired. Here's my task for you today, write a lot of seven flaws within yourself that are preventing you from reaching your goals. Be honest with yourself, the first step to change is admitting the issues. I'll check back with you tomorrow. Have a awesome Thursday.
