Blogmas Day Five: Florida Me

Dymond Phillips • Dec 05, 2018
Last night I took a flight to Orlando. I came here because my little cousin Dylan, made it to the AYF playoffs for little league football. Back when he told me about it a few weeks ago I knew I had to go. Anybody who knows me knows I love Florida. It’s so pretty and the atmosphere is different. Florida for me is a breath of fresh air especially when I’m stressed and fed up with everyday life. On top of that I’m super close to my auntie and times like this I love being around my loved ones at any costs. I value family time so much especially because I know everyday isn’t promised.

Anywho today is Wednesday December 5th and today was a jam packed day. I started my day off by going to my little cousins game at 10:30am. Of course we were a little late but made it on time. They ended up losing the game and all the team members cried and were so hurt. Luckily, they’re able to play on Friday to be #3 in the country. The score was 6-0. I love watching Dyl play football because of the passion he has for It. That got me thinking....kids do what they love and go hard for their dreams no matter what. As adults, we have so many responsibilities and things that block us from just going hard at our passions. You have to have a balance. Don’t get so caught up in working and living the status quo, where you forget to just do what you love!
After the game I went and tried this restaurant named, Draft Sports Bar & Grill. Later, my family and I went to a fair that was in the area. Today it was super cold in Orlando but they wanted to go anyway. They had a ball and rode the same rides over and over all night long until my aunt was ready to go. After the fair we headed back to the hotel because if was already 11pm and I have a 8am flight to catch. I hate that I only was here for about 32 hours. I hate leaving family and going back to the normal schedule program. One thing that I’m happy about is that I get to go home to my baby Dior. I wish I could’ve brought her, but it was last minute and too much back and fourth.

Well that’s all for Blogmas Day Five. Sorry that these have been so delayed but bare with me. Do me a favor and go hug one of your loved ones, if you aren’t close enough to hug, call and check on them. Family is everything, it took me a while to understand this but don’t wait until it’s too late✨
