Good Eats

Happy Monday, this week I want to share my one of my new found loves. This place isn't actually new but I wanted to wait until the hype died down to actually go check it out. Back in January was when I first went to eat at the infamous Old Lady Gang, for my best friends birthday. The initial thing I ordered was a little too hot for my liking so I sent it back and ordered the shrimp instead. The food was good but the customer service made it even better. I sat at the bar and the bartender was so sweet and made my drink perfectly.
I loved the place so much that when my mom came to town last weekend I took her there for Sunday brunch. This time I ordered the chicken & waffles. Now let me honest, I hate waffles, but OLG Waffles were so good and fluffy. I ordered the same drink I ordered the first time I went, the Momma Joyce's House Punch. I was super excited I got the same bartender as before because she made my drink perfectly. I was nervous because of the coconut that's in it but she assured me it was just a hint and persuaded me to try it. Another one of my favorites has to be the macaroni because it's made similar to "grandma macaroni." For those of you who don't know what I mean, I mean that southern creamy but baked macaroni. This soul food place has gotten an A+ out of me, and y'all know I'm super picky. I can't wait to go back and try new things.
Much respect to Kandi and Todd for putting this restaurant together I wish them nothing but success. If you're ever in the Atlanta area make sue you stop by Old Lady Gang at 177 Peters St SW, Atlanta, GA 30313. You won't be disappointed!
