It Runs In The Family

I know I always give serious topics or interesting deep stories for my family section, but this week will be a little different. I always get the best ideas at the weirdest times. Today, I was picking up my Starbucks after church per usual, and as I was doing that, I was watching my newest favorite youtube channel on my phone. I know you're thinking, what does any of this have to do with family? Let me tell you, I come from a pretty big family and like I said before everybody in my family is doing pretty well for themselves. I have this one little cousin in particular who amazes me on the daily. But back to my story, in this particular video, my favorite youtuber was talking about hyping yourself up and being your own cheerleader. Then a lightbulb went off in my head< DING.^ Why not show some spotlight on one of my family members instead of telling a story this week. I knew just exactly who to pick. Are any of you wondering, who is my newest favorite youtube guru? Well it is this amazing God loving, unique girl who I’m blessed to call my cousin, A'Jhane Taylor. She is the definition of living for God and your purpose. She’s still in high school but is so ahead of her time, it’s crazy! I decided to surprise her with this post, she’s been a major supporter of my blog before it even launched and I thank and appreciate her so much. I wanted to do something different, rather than me tell you who she is. So, I texted her and told her to send me a short bio of herself, but she didn’t know just exactly what it is for. Well Nay this is what it was for. Here’s what she had to say when I asked her who is Nay,
"Hi!!! My name is A'Jhane Taylor & I'm I7 years old. I'm originally from Buffalo, NY, but I relocated to Southern California with my mom, brother & dog when I was 11 years old. My dad didn't move out here till a few years later (on and off of course). Making my mom a single one taking care of 2 kids, a dog and an over the top rent bill. Eventually they divorced but hey that's not that needed in here right? One more thing before I stop being so formal with you guys, it's my last year of high school!!!! I'm so freaking excited to just go out into the world and gosh have the best future ever! I'm a Christian young woman who's always growing & learning by His Truth. Isn't that personal bio better than reading one from me? I think so, I went on to ask Nay, Why Youtube? Her answer was very personal.
"The best part of me besides of course God, is my YouTube channel. No, I'm not a famous youtuber with umpteenth amount of subscribers, yet. Things take time, but I know with God, hard work, consistency & originality, I'll get where I want to be. So I'm hyping myself up, but you're probably reading this thinking "girl what's your channel even about?". ADVICE, INSPIRATION, HAPPINESS AND GOD. I make videos with topics that usually come from personal experience that's turned into wisdom that needs to be shared. From relationships, career, school, family, love, self -love, God and everything else in between. All consisting of laughs, a crazy personality, love and transparency. Making videos just gets me so excited and I always hope that some girl or guy, no matter the age is getting his/her knowledge expanded. I never push God on my videos but it's always great when someone comments how they love how I speak about Him. It's a great feeling to be sharing His Word at my age. I actually set a goal for myself, well more like promise. That's to have my youtube channel turn into a talk show and become my full time career and not just a hobby as some people would see it as. I feel like I'm talking too much now, so all I can say is see for yourselves! You won't be disappointed."
I told y'all, she was very advanced for her age. The moral of me showcasing my cousin is because I'm super proud of her. I know her Vlog is going to do amazing things. I just can't wait to see it take off like I know it will. Just know,your big cousin will support you just how you did me. You can be a guest writer on the site whenever you want! You can do all things through Christ that strengthens you. I also wrote this post for all my readers, follow your dreams. You can't be scared because you'll always live in fear. If nobody believes in you, believe in yourself!
