The Illustrious Clark Atlanta University

So, as you should know by now I am a student at the Illustrious Clark Atlanta University. CAU, is a different kind of Historical Black College University (HBCU). Yes it's in the hood, yes its 36thousand a year, yes they will boot your car if you park it somewhere it isn't supposed to be BUT it will shape the person you are. Being at CAU, has for sure changed me. Like any college, it makes you to grow up. Clark made me want to be an entrepreneur. CAU has so many alumni's who made it: the list includes DJ Drama, Eva entrepreneur (Actress), Kenny Leon (Playwriter), Spike Lee (Even though he didn't graduate from CAU he took classes there), Bobby V, Mase and so many more. I don't know if it's being in Atlanta, where it's full of black owned businesses, or if it's being at a school where so many people built up there career and followed their dreams, that puts that lighter to your back and pushes me. One thing that CAU has taught me is, DEADLINES ARE REAL! When a teacher says 11:59 they mean it lol. No but forreal, Clark's motto is, "Find a way or make one." That is embodied in me, when my back is up against the wall that I will find a way or make one. I also love how religion plays a major part of my school. I remember one day I was leaving class and heading to my dorm, and this one professor stopped me and asked me do you have to join us for our morning prayer? Of course, I was so wrapped in my own head that at first I didn't want to, but she persuaded me to. WHEN I TELL Y'ALL that prayer saved my day. I was already extremely tired and was so stressed because of all I had going on, but after that prayer it was like God touched me and shifted my entire mood! That's what Clark does to you. I can't count how many business owners there are that go to my school, I love all the black magic going on. So, I decided that for the next 5 weeks, I will chose one of the black entrepreneurs at Clark Atlanta University that I will showcase for my Slay of the Week. As you know I already wrote one on my boo entrepreneurs Hendrixx. https://www.dymondsdiary.com/single-post/2017/06/12/Style-of-the-Week. This week I picked Niia Broaden. I want to use my blog to showcase all that the students of CAU are doing I can't wait for you to see all of this black excellence!
