Happy Monday!!! Tomorrow is October 1st, which is the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The color that symbolizes breast cancer is my favorite color of all time.....PINK. I attend a lot of events throughout the year, and the hardest part is always picking out outfits. Whenever I attend an event, I like to wear something that stands out. If I can't find a full extravagant outfit, I try to find statement pieces that will help others remember me. It's currently fall, but here in Atlanta, it's still 90 degrees. Instead of breaking out my sweaters, I'm still able to pull out some of my summer favorites before the season finally changes.
About a month ago, I attended the, Ignite Your Influence Conference in Charlotte, NC. I wore this polka dot mini skater dress. A few weeks before the event, I was stressed out because I knew I wanted to wear pink, but couldn't find anything that I LOVED. As I was scrolling on Instagram, this dress popped on my timeline and I instantly added it to my cart. The off the shoulder dress is from Pretty Little Thing. Originally I ordered these neon pink pumps from Ego Shoes pair with it. When the shoes came they didn't match the dress, so I had to find option number two. I went scouting the mall and found these mini Sam Edelman block heels from DSW.
At first, I wasn't in love with the shoes, but when I got home and found my Ted Baker pink crossbody I feel in love with the entire look. The outfit was perfect, I received so many compliments. I wanted barbie vibes and that's exactly what I got in the end. It was better for me to wear the shorter heels, because I was able to go the whole conference without my feet hurting. This look is perfect for a night with the girls or even a date night with your boo. Keep in mind it's really short, so you have to be careful when wearing it not to bend over or let the wind blow.
